Join Rin for a full immersive weekend of dance! Throughout the weekend, dancers will learn a full group choreography created for stage, and will have the opportunity to perform the piece in September of 2017 for Eternal Forest, a theatrical dance show produced by Electric Nomad.
Participants will be able to witness the dance composition transform to fit to the unique group of dancers, as well as the seasonal theme of the Eternal Forest show. Explore different avenues of musical interpretation and move as one unit to express a piece of an abstract story. Observe Rin’s choreographic process firsthand and take home what works for you! Get ready to delve into a transformative movement experience.
If wish to perform the dance piece taught in class for the Eternal Forest show, there are a few requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years of consistent dance training
-Presence in all scheduled workshop hours
-Willingness to work and cooperate with a large group
-Self-discipline and maintenance of the choreography in the weeks between the intensive and the show
-Presence and timeliness in Richmond, VA, for dress rehearsal and the shows on September 7-9th, 2017.
*While not required for out-of-town performers in this piece, it is preferred that dancers are available on August 27th for a tech rehearsal.

Rin is rooted ten years of belly dance experience, overlapping with twenty years of diverse dance training. She has experimented with jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, and several blends of dance forms. Her performances are most often described as otherworldly, while her dynamic experimental movement style and musical interpretation continue to evolve. Drawing from her background in group work of various capacities, Rin has recently formed Myriad Project, a dance project featuring performances by artistically diverse casts of dancers, with performances set to original music and choreography.
Rin started touring with Jillina’s production, Bellydance Evolution, in 2012 and has since toured internationally with the company, taking the stage in dozens of cities on four continents. She is a contributing choreographer for Bellydance Evolution’s “Alice in Wonderland” show, as well as their newest production, “Fantasm: Odyssey of Dreams.”
Through her travels and dance adventures, Rin appreciates the deep sense of connection and transformation that movement invites, and enjoys sharing that feeling through performance, instruction, and learning.
