Electric Nomad Dance presents its second annual theatrical dance adventure at Dogtown Dance Theatre! This year, we fly out of the ocean to take to the forest, exploring themes of symbiosis, cycles, and growth, in a wildy theatrical manifestation of collaboration and diversity, set to original and live music scored just for the show. Dancers will be adorned in treasures saved from urban forests here in Richmond, Virginia, and will perform in front of stunning film work by Patrick Gregory Films. Eternal Forest also features collaborations with Rin Ajna’s Myriad Project, and show-wide collaboration with Dawn Flores’ Forest Project, whose incredible artistic conservation work will provide sponsorship, spirit, materials, and a tangible connection to our urban forests.
The narrative of Eternal Forest is a remedy for our times, a reminder that working together is essential to the human experience, and reflects the symbiotic relationship of nature as a metaphor for communities within the world.
Watch the forest come to life in unexpected and beautiful ways this September!
